Andrés Videla Berguecio
Partner & Chief Executive Officer
Andrés is a Funding of LATAM SpA, and business director since 2012. Since then he has collaborated closely in Chile and in the Region with multinational companies, such as; Emirates Air, Posco E&C, Mekorot Israel National Water Co., Sky Solar Group or Sun Edison, having achieved successful business cases in the positioning of business activities of foreign companies in Chile, which makes him knowledgeable about global trends in different industries and countries.
Prior to the creation of LATAM SpA, he founded Pacific Solar and other solar park development companies, managing to sell the María Elena project to the US fund Sun Edison in 2014.
Andrés lives in Santiago and holds a degree in Architecture from the Central University. He also has a diploma in project preparation and evaluation from the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Chile.
José Miguel Pérez Schmidt
General Counsel
José Miguel is General Counsel of LATAM SpA, with 20 years of experience as a corporate and in-house legal lawyer; during the period 2018 to 2022, he held the position of General Counsel of the Cobra Group in Chile, an international EPC company, a subsidiary of the Spanish ACS Group.
Throughout his career, he has provided preventive legal support in Spanish and English to international companies and has actively participated in the negotiation and drafting of EPC, BOOT, financial, and Construction Contracts in competitive industries such as energy, infrastructure, mining, and natural resources.
José Miguel lives in Santiago and has a degree in Legal and Social Sciences Degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica of Chile.
Sergio Vergara González
Partner
Sergio is a partner at LATAM SpA, he has more than 20 years of experience as a legal, commercial advisor and company director. He has significant experience in infrastructure projects, real estate, mass consumption, entertainment, media and venture capital investments. He has been a lawyer in an important legal firm with a presence in Chile and Latin America, a Prosecutor for one of the largest media outlets in Chile and an advisor to family groups with a presence in Forbes 100.
His special blend of business and legal acumen has been instrumental in guiding diverse companies, from multinational corporations to high net worth individuals, through negotiations, reorganizations and other complex matters in Chile and Latin America.
Sergio lives in Santiago and is a lawyer with a degree in Legal Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile with postgraduate studies at the University of Chile.
Silvio Girardi
Latam Senior Advisor in mining businesses
SIlvio is a Senior Advisor in Mining Business at LATAM SpA, and has held senior management executive roles in the mining industry. Former Director of Mining at ENAMI; Former business development consultant for Phelps Dodge, Former Executive President of CESCO, Former Corporate Vice President of CODELCO in different areas (Deputy VP of Operations; VP of Explorations and New Businesses; VP of Shared Services), also at CODELCO he led large projects in the different links in the mining business value chain, from advanced exploration to basic mine-plant engineering (Gaby project), to innovative copper smelting and refining processes (Fureme project).
He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of companies dedicated to environmental services and strategic business consulting.
Silvio lives in Santiago and is a Civil Mining Engineer from the University of Chile; M.Sc. from Imperial College (Royal School of Mines) and a Diploma in the Executive Program from MIT-Sloan. He worked as an academic at the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile, reaching the rank of Associate Professor.
Jiaqiang Chang
Vice President of Business Development - China
Mr. Chang is the Vice President of Business Development for China at LATAM SpA. Before joining this company, he held management positions at CGGC and CHEC. During the period from 2021 to 2023, he held a senior executive position at Sociedad Concesionaria CHEC Embalse Las Palmas S.A.
Mr. Chang has extensive investment and implementation experience in the hydropower and water resources conservation sector. He has been involved in managing large-scale water conservancy and hydropower projects in countries such as Cambodia, China, and Chile.
Currently, Mr. Chang resides in Yichang, Hubei Province, China. He is a civil engineering graduate from China Three Gorges University, as well as being a national-level registered builder and senior engineer.
